My love of brows began at a very early age. I was only 5 years old when I was diagnosed with Alopecia. I lost all of my eyelashes and had bald patches on my head. It wasn't the funnest experience to say the least. I did discover that if I nourished and conditioned my eyebrows, the same way my mom took care of the hair on my head, I'd have a better chance of preserving my eyebrows. I was only 5 yrs old so I can not make any claims that this is the reason why my brows survived but they did! They also survived the 90s when pencil thin eyebrows was a thing. Yikes! In my opinion the culprit behind most of the overplucked, overtweezed and overthreaded eyebrows I see and treat today. As a microblading artist I get to speak to so many clients about their brow concerns. The number #1 concern being...you guessed it; thinning, over plucked, misshapened eyebrows. After listening to so many of my clients speak about the same brow struggles, a light bulb went off in my head and I began to tell them about the conditioning treatments and masks and oils I had been using for the better half of my life. It wasn't until a client asked "why don't more people talk about this, it could of saved so many brows" that I decided to do just that. My mission became to learn the anatomy of brow hair and brow growth and to educate clients on the importance of proper brow care. It's time we begin to take care of our brow hair the same we do as the hair on our heads. Hair is hair and it needs nourishment to survive and thrive.
